You can see how many you have to kill for the next Damage bonus increase in the ' MONSTERPEDIA' which can be found in the bottom right of the map, by clicking the monster skull between the crystal image which is the Upgrade Shop called ' INVENTIONS' & the Exclamation Mark (!) which is the ' DAILY QUESTS' & these are the 3rd way of getting Crystals, these become available after you finish the 13th stage 'First Showdown' on Normal difficulty. There are 3 different difficulties called PLANES which range from Normal (Easy) to Aether (Normal) & finally Eldritch (Hard) so it's the exact same stages on all 3 planes just with harder & more enemies, in order to keep up with the harder enemies you need to upgrade your 'INVENTIONS' but more on that below because before you can start to upgrade anything you're going to need CRYSTALS & a whole lot of them but of course you should simply start playing through the game normally, I didn't really need to focus on Crystals until the Eldritch Plane mainly because the first upgrades comes cheap & you get the crystals by simply playing however 1 good tip is to keep an eye out for crystals that spawn on the level NOTICE THAT CRYSTALS DOESN'T START SPAWNING IN STAGES UNTIL AFTER YOU GET THE ' AETHER LENS' WHICH IS REWARDED ONCE YOU BEAT THE NORMAL PLANE.
